About Andrew

Born in London, I have lived in Marblehead since 1993. I have a passion for buying and selling real estate, for digging behind the statistics to tell the real story, and for helping people achieve their dreams. I love helping people buy houses and have many years of researching real estate markets worldwide. When I am listing a house for sale I understand how the ultimate buyer will be found and utilize a variety of techniques - social media, dedicated website, digital and print advertising - to ensure that the house reaches the greatest number of potential buyers. I wrote 8 semi-annual reviews of the local property market for the Marblehead Reporter before starting my blog, OliverReports.com, where I publish the most comprehensive source of information about the real estate market in Marblehead, surrounding towns and throughout Essex County. I also specialize in writing about real estate taxes, mortgage rates, flood insurance and anything else that affects your real estate decisions. Locally, I have bought and sold all types of property: condos, commercial property, and single-family homes, from starter to oceanfront. I am a firm believer in the team concept, believing that a group of people working together can achieve more than they would on their own. In real estate that means being in a position to offer a much better service to clients. Hence I am delighted to be working with Mike Cannuscio, Dick McKinley, and Matt Dolan at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's International Realty. My earlier career was in investment banking where I managed offices in London, Singapore, and Boston. I worked both as a research analyst and an investment banker specializing in capital raising. I am a graduate of Oxford University, and serve as President Emeritus of Lifebridge in Salem. In 2014 I was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) for "services to homelessness in the United States", and received the award from H.M. The Queen at Buckingham Palace.
