East Boston, nicknamed “Eastie” is a neighborhood of Boston and only a few miles away from the city’s downtown. Most known for housing Boston Logan International Airport, East Boston is separated from downtown by the Boston Harbor and is accessible by the Sumner Tunnel. Beaches, Parks, and Resources

Constitution Beach
Constitution Beach is a local gem that has many activities to offer the whole family. Take a swim, head over to their many athletic fields, or watch the planes fly ahead and the ships sail through Boston Harbor. Constitution Beach is located on Barnes Avenue and offers on-site parking. 
 
Belle Isle Marsh Reservation, East Boston
This urban nature preserve & public recreation area is home to a lot of coastal wetlands. The Belle Isle Marsh Reservation is Boston’s last remaining salt marsh, located on Bennington Street. 

Piers Park
Located on the southwest side of East Boston, Piers Park is wonderfully landscaped and provides direct access to the waterfront. The park features two pavilions, an amphitheater, a large playground, and more. Limited free parking is available.  

Piers Park Sailing Center
The Piers Park Sailing Center is a charitable non-profit organization that provides education, recreation, and events for all ages in Boston Harbor. 

LoPresti Park
LoPresti Park is a harbor-front park offering stunning skyline views. Other features include basketball courts, a turf field, green space, tennis courts, and waterfront access. LoPresti Park is located on Summer Street. 

Madonna Shrine
The Madonna Queen of the Universe Shrine is a massive statue of the Virgin Mary in East Boston. OVerlooking Logan Airport, the Madonna Shrine is an impressive piece of architecture, located on Orient Avenue. 

Boston Logan International Airport
This primary airport serves a majority of New England and accounts for the most passenger volume and cargo handling in the region. Known for its busy schedule and International reach, Boston Logan attracts many people to the Greater Boston area.
